Basket Hilt Swords

Our complete Schiavona features a complex basket of bars that gives complete coverage to the hand and even some of the wrist. This guard has ricasso space and carefully formed and dished bars that we have designed to the specs of extant pieces; specifically the “Type III Schiavona“. This guard is an exceptional rendition of the type III Schiavonas that were the sword of choice by the Venetian "Doge" from the early to mid 17th century.
