    A note on thread size: M6 is smaller threading than M8. Typically things like rapiers, daggers, and dueling sabres will use M6 thread. Heavy daggers, long swords, feders, and basket hilts will typically have M8.

Description

Our large ball profile pommel is a simple, affordable 1-7/8″ sphere that can be used on just about anything. We offer it with M6x1.0 or M8x1.25 thread normally. Its total weight is 15.2 oz. We offer 3 finishes as well: “Bright”, a bright antiqued satin metal finish. “Blued”, a heat blued finish. Naturally darker, more durable and rust prohibitive than chemical bluing. Finally, “Polished”, a bright shiny deep polish that provides the best rust resistance and detail preservation.

Spherical Type “R” pommels have been around as long as swords have and can be found on many different types of bladed weapons well into the present.
