    A note on thread size: M6 is smaller threading than M8. Typically things like rapiers, daggers, and dueling sabres will use M6 thread. Heavy daggers, long swords, feders, and basket hilts will typically have M8.

Description

Our (Type M) viking profile pommel is cut from 3/4″ steel and hand contoured to reflect the specifications of the type “M” pommels commonly found on viking era swords like the type X and XI. These pommels come complete with a threaded pin that is tightened with a common 3/8″ wrench or socket. We offer it with M6x1.0 or M8x1.25 thread. Its total weight is 11 oz. We offer 3 finishes as well: “Bright”, a bright antiqued satin metal finish. “Blued”, a heat blued finish. Naturally darker, more durable and rust prohibitive than chemical bluing. Finally, “Polished”, a bright shiny deep polish that provides the best rust resistance and detail preservation.
