Safety Tips

The future of safety is here! Our safety tip models are manufactured from tough flexible material that will stretch to tightly fit the tip of most fencing blades. Each tip comes with a steel disc built in! With extensive testing we are confident that these simply won’t ever allow a blade to poke through. This material is flexible but not sticky so unlike those grabby rubber tip that stick to masks, these give presence to contact but slide on mask mesh; reducing risk of potential injury to the neck and head. These tips are also extremely light and compact so little weight is added to the blade and balance points are not as greatly affected.

We all are active fencers here at Castille and we know what its like to have a fast blade encumbered by heavy tips. These are the answer!

There are 4 models to choose from currently

1. Small- made for blades with tip width diameters from 4mm to 6mm (3/16″ to 1/4″) normal or swelled.
2. Medium- made for blades with tip width diameters from 6mm to 10mm (1/4″ to 3/8″) normal or swelled.
3. Large- made for blades with tip width diameters from 10mm to 14mm (3/8″ to 1/2″) normal or swelled.
4. Extra Large- specifically for blades with large swelled tips. Federschwerts, Longswords, Artillery Sabres and Katanas, 14mm to 18mm (1/2” to 3/4”) normal or swelled.

Note about shipping: The type of shipping package used for shipping tips is to prevent the postal system from losing or destroying packages (as they have done in the past when we used regular envelopes). Therefore, shipping is more expensive than might be expected. To prevent having to pay more for shipping than the product we suggest getting 3 or more tips OR we can put 50 tips, a blade balm, a shirt, grip or pommel in the same package with the tips and the shipping price won’t change.
