Our small flame profile pommel is elegantly hand turned to match the specifications of the flame profile pommels commonly found on rapiers and other swords of the Renaissance period. We offer it with M6x1.0 or M8x1.25 thread. Its total weight is .11lbs/50g. We offer 3 finishes as well: “Bright”, a bright antiqued satin metal finish. “Black Oxide”, an ultra tough dark matte black finish that offers the best rust prevention. Finally, “Polished”, a bright shiny deep polish that provides great rust resistance and detail preservation.
Flame profile pommels were very common on swords and daggers of all kinds throughout the Middle Ages and on through the Napoleonic era.
