This fun light saber is based on the 1796 saber but fills a specific role for HEMA combat. It is light enough to be used like a dueling saber with an elongated grip with thumb rest but it is robust enough, in most cases, to be used as a light artillery saber. The guard is metal 3d printed in stainless steel and is reinforced in the places where it is destined to take the most abuse. It is large enough to fit a large glove or clamshell mitten without being bulky or cumbersome. The grip is a true stainless steel backstrap/ferrule design with a PTEG grip insert that is contoured and comfortable in the hand. The assembly is held together by a hardened M6 recessed pin that requires a 4mm hex wrench.
The blade is our tried and true 34″ (86.4cm) long “BBS” 1095 steel 20mm dueling saber design with a true Radaelli curve. Flex is offered at a F3 target flex weight- 12lb (5.4kg) for safe and responsive sparring. We only offer normal tips for these complete builds. A #2 size Castille safety tip can be added to the order. The total weight is .99 lbs (450gr) and the pob is 4″ (10cm) from the front of the guard.

NOTE! This is a light saber of only 450 grams! Its in the same weight class as a small sword, keep that in mind when you are suiting up for higher calibration. Its a light hitter.
