Our medium flame profile pommel is elegantly hand turned to match the specifications of the flame profile pommels commonly found on rapiers and other swords of the Renaissance period. We offer it with M6x1.0 or M8x1.25 thread. Its total weight is .32lbs./140g. We offer 3 finishes as well: “Bright”, a bright antiqued satin metal finish. “Blued”, a heat blued finish. Naturally darker, more durable and rust prohibitive than chemical bluing. Finally, “Polished”, a bright shiny deep polish that provides the best rust resistance and detail preservation.
Flame profile pommels were very common on swords and daggers of all kinds throughout the late 16th century and 17th century.
