Description
Our small acorn profile pommel is elegantly hand turned to match the specifications of the acorn profile pommels commonly found on rapiers and other swords of the Renaissance period. We offer it with M6x1.0 or M8x1.25 thread. Its total weight is .19lbs/90g. We offer 3 finishes as well: “Bright”, a bright antiqued satin metal finish. “Blued”, a heat blued finish. Naturally darker, more durable and rust prohibitive than chemical bluing. Finally, “Polished”, a bright shiny deep polish that provides the best rust resistance and detail preservation.
Acorn profile pommels were very common on swords and daggers of all kinds throughout the Middle Ages and on through the Napoleonic era.
