Our small ball profile pommel is a simple, affordable 1-3/8″ sphere that can be used on just about anything. We normally offer it with M6 x 1.0 thread. Its total weight is .36lbs./160g. You will find this pommel offered on most of our complete rapiers. We offer 3 finishes as well: “Bright”, a bright antiqued satin metal finish. “Blued”, a heat blued finish. Naturally darker, more durable and rust prohibitive than chemical bluing. Finally, “Polished”, a bright shiny deep polish that provides the best rust resistance and detail preservation.
Spherical Type “R” pommels have been around as long as swords have and can be found on many different types of bladed weapons well into the present.
