These are our more affordable flat taper style dueling sabre blades. These have a lighter distal taper than our 5160 counterparts; between being ground only on the flat to put the flex apex at the tip 3rd mark. The profile still provides the same shape and curve you’ve come to love with our dueling sabre blades.
These are made from high quality domestic 1095 spring steel and are made to withstand higher calibration fighting than that of the 5160 blades due to less stresses being applied to the pre-hardened steel during grinding. These blades also provide a slightly thicker rounded edge at 3mm.
We offer both a traditional 16mm and 20mm version blade with the same tang as that of our other dueling sabre products so that everything is interchangeable. The blades are both a traditional length of 34″ from tang shoulder to tip.
The 16mm dueling sabre blade is offered only in and F3 flex but 20mm dueling sabre blade is offered in either F3 or F4.
